WHAT TO EXPECT
BEFORE YOUR SHOOT
After we find a date for your shoot, I will send you a welcome packet in the mail which has lots of helpful information to prepare you for your session. I typically text and chat with girls and moms over the phone about ideas for the shoot and clothing choices, but I am also happy to meet in person if that helps you! I definitely want you to feel comfortable with the process and prepared so you can relax and enjoy your shoot day!
DAY OF YOUR SHOOT
On the day of your shoot we will start at my house on Lookout Mountain and get your clothes organized, choose locations based on your style, and have Leah, Micah or Macy apply your makeup! I absolutely love the makeup they do for all of the girls, a fresh, dewy and natural look! You are also welcome to add hair and pay them directly. The prep process usually takes a little over an hour, and then we set out on our route of chosen locations around town that will make sense with each of your looks. I always try to give a lot of variety with locations–downtown, streets, sidewalks, and also pretty green fields. We often stumble upon gorgeous wildflowers and use those in shots as well as hats that I always have with me, cute drinks, or an ice cream cone in the summer. Anything you can dream up we can try to achieve! We will wrap up right around last light and then I will head home and edit a few shots for your feature on my Instagram page!
AFTER YOUR SHOOT
Within a few weeks we will have an in person ordering session at my home. I will then help you choose how you want to display and live with your photos. I have collections with digital images, leather and linen albums, giclee prints, canvases and mounted loose prints. I have spent a lot of time finding some amazing heirloom quality products and I know you will love the ordering process. Your order is usually complete within 6-8 weeks, but I can rush digital images if necessary. I do expect payment at the ordering appointment (either 1/2 or full).
PREPARING FOR YOUR SHOOT
CLOTHING
We will have time to shoot 5 outfits, but bring lots of extras and I will help you coordinate some fun and stylish looks, and also make sure everything fits well and is flattering. Large prints can be distracting so limit these to a few items at most. I love neutrals, layers, texture and pops of color. It’s all about your style! Make sure that everything is clean, steamed and pressed if needed. Have appropriate undergarments…strapless bras and stickies.
HAIR
You are welcome to do our own hair or request for my stylist to do it for you. Straightening is $35 and loose curls are $50. Come with clean, dry hair if you choose to get your hair styled. If not, come with your hair ready to go! Extra hairspray is great to have.
SKIN
All of my makeup artists are amazing and you will love your natural, glowy look! If you can, come with a freshly washed face and if not you are welcome to wash off makeup when you arrive at my house for the shoot. Moisturize the night before and the day of especially–dry skin does not look as pretty. And don’t forget to moisturize your lips as well. Make sure brows are shaped and strays are removed the day before your shoot. Extra lip color and gloss are great for touch ups as well as powder if you tend to be oily. Try not to get too much sun right before your shoot. Also make sure to remove old nail polish and have nails clean and shaped and polished if desired.
SESSIONS AND INVESTMENT
BOUTIQUE SENIOR SESSION
Makeup application (hair styling can be added for $50), clothing styling, 2.5 hours of shooting, 4-6 locations (or as many as we can do!), 5 outfits, ordering session.
$375 sitting fee which is non refundable (you can move to another date)
Minimum order required is $800.
MINI SESSION
45 minutes of shooting, 2 locations, 2 outfits, 10 digital images of your choice (not offered in June-October).
$650 for sitting fee and images
Smaller session with one outfit and location is great for senior guys-$400 and includes 8 digital images.
FAMILY SESSION
